We had an excellent lecture from Diamond Jim Tyler. There was a lot of practical magic that we were shown.

Competition Night. This was a 'friendly' competition between members, with non-magician guests being welcomed both as part of the audience and as judges.
Four cups were awarded. Chris Keyward was awarded three of them, the Close-Up competetition, the Stage competition, and the Audiences Choice cups, and Stu Ritchie was awarded the Comedy cup.

President's Night. We had one of the most entertaining lectures that we have had for ages. John Kimmons was billed to give a talk on entertaining children. Ah well, this makes us all children, as everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Mike's audititon (pictured) preceeded a very entertaining friendly (?) competition between Jay and John's teams for the Harry Potter Cup. The prestigious trophy was won by John's team.

There was a good turn-out from the WMA in attending the Bristol Day of Magic, a very popular Annual event, in spite of the difficult journey to get there. There was a good dealers hall,

and the lectures, including one by Joshua Jay (pictured) proved of interest.

In spite of the economic situation, the Convention was a great success.
The dealers hall was full while no talks were going on, and even then there were plenty of customers.

The refreshments were busy all day.

The lectures were well attended.
The close up sessions at lunchtime were well received.

The dancers and acts made for an excellent show.
